KONstanzFERENZ- Hope, Change & Responsibility | Closing event
Saturday, 12.09.2026
14:00 – 17:00
Wolkenstein-Saal in the cultural center
Under the title “New Horizons for the Sahel Region”, this all-day conference on September 10, 2026 is dedicated to a region in transition: Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.
This is not just about headlines, but about a deeper understanding. Experts, people with personal connections to the region and interested parties come together to share their experiences and discuss them together.
What is shaping current developments? What historical backgrounds play a role? And what responsibility do international actors bear?
This conference aims to build bridges – between perspectives, between continents and between people.
Finally, we look at the Alliance des États du Sahel (AES) and its role in a changing world.
But it’s about more than politics: it’s about our attitude. How do we talk about Africa? What images shape our thinking? And how can we contribute to a fairer and more respectful coexistence?
This event invites you not only to take away knowledge, but also to question your own perspective.
