Children's program
We have prepared a great program for the little ones.
We offer drumming workshops, face painting, storytelling, games and acrobatics.
The Africa Festival by the lake is therefore a great experience for the whole family.

Social cohesion in Germany is being made more difficult by the migration issue.
Some people, rightly or wrongly, see migration policy as the cause of all problems in the country.
This puts a huge strain on coexistence and divides society.
But on closer inspection, migrants and locals have the same goal: to lead a happy and peaceful life.
What strategy should be developed so that migration can no longer act as a divisive factor, but as a lever for social cohesion?
The speaker would like to discuss this question with you.
Speaker
Kafalo Sékongo, specialist promoter for global learning and international educational partnerships (EPiZ Reutlingen)
Kafalo Sekongo studied German language and literature and education to become a teacher in Côte d’Ivoire.
He taught German as a foreign language (DaF) at a grammar school in his home country before coming to Germany.
He also studied German as a second language (DaZ) in Tübingen.
Since 2013, he has been working at the EPiZ (Development Education Information Center) in Reutlingen as a specialist promoter for global learning and international educational partnerships.
He is also a lecturer for political education at the Bodelshausen Federal Education Center, where BFD and Bufdis students complete their seminars.
In his spare time, Kafalo SÈkongo enjoys giving talks on current topics such as migration, discrimination, development cooperation and colonial continuity.

Does Africa have an opportunity for development through new cooperation partners, or should we rather strive for a paradigm shift in bilateral relations?
One example of this would be China and the BRICS countries.
Speaker
André Ekama from Cameroon is one of the better-known African writers to publish in German.
The works of the “math poet” André Ekama, who is actually a graduate mathematician and business economist, can be classified as migrant literature.
Among other things, he deals with various experiences in a foreign country, encounters and dealing with foreigners and being a foreigner in Germany.
As a committed writer, André Ekama aims to promote intercultural understanding and dialog between people with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds in Germany.
André Ekama describes his self-image as follows: “Not every author is an author!
And there are very few writers anyway… But there are people who have to write down what they experience, and if what they write is also thought-provoking and contains important information for society in terms of international understanding, even a graduate mathematician and business economist can call himself an author or writer.”
